Does Worona support my WordPress?
Worona supports blog posts and pages right now, but it plans to be compatible with WooCommerce and custom post types in the future.
Will Worona work with my theme?
Worona creates a native app and an HTML5 web app that are independent of your WordPress theme. We use the WordPress REST API to take the content from your WordPress and we display it in a client-side rendered app.
We are not wrapping your site inside a webview, this won’t make it perform better on mobile devices. This is why we can’t take your server-side-rendered theme and display it automatically inside the app. In any case, we encourage you to develop your own themes or ask your theme designer to port your WordPress theme to Worona.
Will my plugins work with Worona?
There is no definite answer to this question. It depends on each plugin.
We use the WordPress REST API to take the content from your WordPress site and display it in a client-side rendered app. If your plugin is compatible with the REST API, it should be compatible with Worona as well. But again, it really depends on each plugin.
Many plugins will only make sense in the desktop version of your WordPress. For example, there is no need for a SEO plugin compatible with a native mobile app.
Plugins implementing major features such as WooCommerce don't work with Worona by default. We are already working on a Worona extension to make WooCommerce perfectly work in your mobile apps.
If your WordPress site requires a plugin and it is not compatible with Worona, please contact us.
